Alexa Chung It

26.07.2014 BY

This must be the strangest book I've ever read. The first strange thing about it is the fact that I've read it all while traveling from home to work. The last time it happened was with the kids version of "Aibolit":) But it doesn't mean It by Alexa Chung somehow lacks in texts. It looks like a common text book from the first sight.

And from the second?

And from the second you finally see all the meaningless and illogicality of this book. Mixind years, memories, actual thoughts, own drawings, black-and-white icons photos and style advice, Alexa pretends to open her mind but in reality just adds confusion to a person confusing enough already. If it's not only a tribute to hippsters kind of life, than I'm afraid to find out what is hidden in mind of this girl:)

To summ it all up, it was probably a first time for me not to know what to say after reading a book. I'm in love with beautiful and inspiring stories and photos, but here everything looks so dark, quick and unserious like it was made hastily. Yes, now I know Alexa was a fan of hourse riding in her childhood and that she still spoils make-up on purpose so that it doesn't look too perfect, but even for a real fan (which I'm actually not) this information looks kind of unimportant, doesn't it?
